May 2026 Newsletter: Holding Loss Through Love - A Mother’s Day Offering of Healing

Loralee May 2026

Dear friends, as we welcome the vibrant energies of spring, we find ourselves surrounded with new beginnings, blooming flowers and the warmth of the sun. This season, we take a moment to honor our mothers, both those who have nurtured us in life and those we remember with love.

Mother’s Day is a beautiful opportunity to express our gratitude to the mothers and mother figures in our lives. Whether it’s a biological mother, a stepmother, a grandmother or a mentor, each of these individuals played a unique role in shaping who we are today.

This year I invite you to connect with our special complimentary Mother’s Day meditations available on our website. These guided meditations are intended to help you create a sacred time and space to reflect, share love and send healing energy to those you hold dear. Let us come together in spirit as we celebrate the eternal bond of love that transcends all relationships.

I also wish to recognize that Mother’s Day can be a bittersweet time for those who are mourning a child or grieving the absence of their mothers. The first Sunday in May marks Bereaved Mother’s Day, a day dedicated to honoring the memories of the children we have lost.

I encourage you to access my complementary meditations for Bereaved Mothers and Motherless Daughters, which offer love and compassion as you remember your loved ones. These nurturing guided meditations focus on providing comfort and support for those navigating grief and are intended to honor our healing journeys and to promote post traumatic growth. Both meditations are provided below.

As we move through this season of renewal and reflection, may we remember to nurture our spirits and send love to those around us. When we connect through our online practices of Reiki and meditation, we uplift and support one another, even from afar.

Wishing you all a spring filled with love, healing and deep connection with other, as well as with yourself.

Namaste’ Loralee

Loralee J Scobie

Author of A New Normal - A Grieving Mother’s Journey from Loss to Healing.

For over 2 decades, Loralee Scobie has been professionally working with energy and helping women (and men) embrace the power of their own being.  Loralee started her career as a registered social worker but always knew through her own childhood experiences with spirit that we are all more powerful than we know.

As a Reiki Master/teacher Loralee offers training in Reiki (Japanese healing art) and in meditation.  Loralee is a firm believer to be an authentic teacher of Reiki one must work with Reiki daily (either on self or others), for the Reiki energy is the true teacher.  In her full-time practice Scobie offers in person and distance (via facetime or zoom) treatments on demand.

Loralee believes that meditation is the foundation to all spiritual practices and should be incorporated into ones’ daily routine.  She offers group training online and in person, where she teaches not only how to meditate, but how to create your own meditation practice.  Loralee also provides a unique service where she will compose/record a personal meditation just for you, relevant to what you are working on healing in your life.

As a certified hypnotherapist Loralee has helped many clients young and older on how to use hypnotherapy to overcome obstacles in this lifetime.  These sessions can be shared either in person or on zoom/facetime.

Loralee is the published author of her first book titled A New Normal-A Grieving Mother’s Journey from Loss to Healing. In this narrative Scobie shares what it took to move her through her grief and to go on to live a life of purpose, following the death of her daughter.  She also shares what is and isn’t helpful for grieving parents and how others can best support the bereaved.  Loralee can be booked as a guest speaker and welcomes the opportunity to read from her book and sign copies.
